Passport size photo, exact mm and KB

Application portals reject photos for two reasons: wrong pixel dimensions, or a file bigger than the KB limit. This tool fixes both in one pass — pick the official size, set the KB ceiling, download. Free, unlimited, and processed on your own device.

How to make one

  1. 1. Upload a clear, front-facing photo on a plain background.
  2. 2. Choose the dimensions your form requires — 413×531 px is the 35×45 mm standard.
  3. 3. Set the target file size, usually 20–100 KB for government portals.
  4. 4. Download and upload it to the form. Nothing was sent to a server.

Questions

Why 413×531 pixels for 35×45 mm?

That is 35×45 mm printed at 300 DPI, the resolution most application systems assume. If your portal states a different DPI, use its stated pixel numbers instead.

The photo gets cropped — is that expected?

Yes. To hit an exact box without stretching your face, the image is centre-cropped to fill it. Leave some headroom in the original so nothing important is cut.

My portal wants under 20 KB and the result is larger.

Choose JPG output and a smaller dimension preset. If it still cannot reach the limit, the tool tells you and gives the smallest clean result rather than a smeared one.

Do you keep my photo?

No. Everything runs in your browser with no upload, so there is no copy for us to keep.
